Jazz à Montréal
On n’imagine pas un vernissage sans musique, pas plus qu’un concert sans lumière. Nos sens communiquent, s’influencent ou se complètent. L’ouïe et la vue ne font généralement plus qu’un quand il en va de notre perception de l’art. C’est pourquoi la musique et les arts visuels entretiennent un lien si étroit et s’alimentent en permanence. A l’occasion du festival de Jazz de Montréal, ces œuvres de Corno représentent bien cette réalité. Cette sérigraphie et cette giclée sont imprégnées par le groove des plus grands Jazzmen. Face For Jazz a été créée par Corno pour le trentième anniversaire de l'événement et fait toujours partie de la Collection permanente du Festival de Jazz.
Le Festival de Jazz accueillera cette année des artistes pluridisciplinaires. Avec la participation de Ghostface Killah - ancien membre du Wu-tang Clan - et Erykah Badu, dont la carrière épatante prend racine dans l’univers du rap, cette trente-sixième édition du Festival célèbre la fusion du Jazz et du Hip-Hop. Entre deux concerts, restez dans l’ambiance « Jazz » à la Galerie Aka.

We cannot imagine a vernissage without music, nor a concert without lights. Our senses communicate, influence and complete each other. What we see and hear generally fuse into one when it comes to our perception of art. This is why music and fine art have always maintained a close link, one fueling and complementing the other. For the opening of the thirty-sixth edition of the Montreal Jazz Festival, Corno`s works successfully depict this reality. These limited-edition prints are imbued with the groove of the latest and greatest legendary Jazzmen. Face For Jazz was created by Corno to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the event and remains an important piece of the Jazz Festival's permanent collection.
The Jazz Festival will host multidisciplinary artists this year. Featuring Ghostface Killah - former member of the Wu -tang Clan - and Erykah Badu, whose amazing career took root in the universe of rap music, this thirty-sixth edition of the Festival celebrates the fusion of Jazz and Hip-Hop. In between concerts, enjoy the jazzy ambiance at Aka galerie.
